Cream and Flutter in Champaign

While it may no be my kind of place, it seems like a nice enough one to grab a quick cappuccino or pastry.

Charming little bakery! Had a sweet potato cupcake and a dark chocolate cupcake. The dark chocolate was light with a mousse like frosting. The sweet potato was a nice cake with a fluffy cream cheese frosting. What was really nice was that it was not super sweet! It was a perfect ending to dinner. The coffee was good too. I knew we were in for a good treat because they serve Jeni’s ice cream from Ohio. That is amazing ice cream... but may be partial because I love Ohio!

We went to Cream & Flutter with about 38 days left before our wedding. They went above and beyond in helping us decide what desserts to have for our reception. They had several options with and without packaging and they offered rented display stands to save space and provide a cute aesthetic. We were able to sample an array of cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and macarons. The gentleman who met with us for our tasting even offered pricing advice to get more while paying a little bit less. If you are looking for a cute local bakery for any kind of special event, stop here first.

This is a cute little place that I keep going back when I have a sweet tooth. Their macaroons are HUGE and cupcakes are beautiful. If you are interested to have a sweet little date, try out this place!

Ordered a 6” passion fruit crud for daughter’s bday March 2019. The frosting tasted shortening based, and coated the mouth in an unpleasant way. Cake it self was delicious, as was the passion fruit curd but upon cutting, found the curd was quite liquid, and most of the curd oozed out from between the layers, leaving almost none between.

Yummy yummy in my tummy. Love this place! I wish cupcakes were apart of a regular balanced meal.

Oh so beautiful and yummy cupcakes!!! My friend and I shared a red velvet and a dark chocolate. Both were so good.Cake was fluffy and felt so good in the mouth - not too sweet, not too buttery, just right! Cream was also exceptionally superb, instantly melting in my mouth. No strange vegetable oil flavor!

Really great atmosphere and design. Workers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Cupcakes I tried (vanilla bean) was served beautifully on a small wooden bowl. Cupcake itself was very great the vanilla flavor wasn't too overpowering, yet you could definitely taste the vanilla. Natural taste. Frosting was sweet for my preference. Glad I stopped by!

This place smells amazing! They have good options of cupcakes, coffees and teas. They also accept orders for parties and events like weddings, baptism, etc

Red velvet cupcakes and chai tea were crazy good. Very expensive but also very high quality. Good place to treat yourself.

Great options for a sweet treat. Cupcakes, ice cream, and other offerings as well. Even something for the pups.

Food was delicious and coffee was good

This little dessert spot is just lovely! Beautifully decorated, with high ceilings and plenty of seating for couples and small groups. The desserts are a bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it! Everything is delicious... unique ice cream flavors, macaroons, brownies, cupcakes and French press coffee. And the employees are always friendly and provide good service.

Not a lot of choices, expensive, and again not a lot of choices and the flavors of the month may need to be flavor of the week bc some are really off to my tastes

Yummy ice cream and great atmosphere!

I needed a last minute treat for my daughter on her birthday and found cream and flutter. I personally dislike cupcakes because they tend to be overly sweet but they proved me wrong. I would go again just to buy a cupcake to drink my coffee with. My God they where amazing.

The workers are very nice and the cupcakes are delicious! I recommend the red velvet cupcake! Definitely will come back for their ice cream, too!

I never knew how good a cupcake could taste till coming to Cream & Flutter. Their cupcakes are always really cute as well. With rotating flavors and classic staples on their menu, definitely a place to keep coming to.

I have no idea why this place is rated so highly. It's insanely overpriced and the chocolate cupcakes have basically no flavor. Frosting greasy and cake very dry, plus TINY portion for $4. They were pretty to look at and the service was good (cashier was very nice), but I was really underwhelmed and won't be going back.

Super cute place with a friendly cashier. We tried the red velvet cupcake and it was perfect! 10/10, would visit again.

I enjoyed this place alot. It's small and cute and has a good amount of seating available. I had frozen yogurt, lemon buttermilk, and I thought it was very refreshing and tasted like shaved, lemonade ice. There is other options for frozen yogurt such as caramel, chocolate. Their cupcakes are very delicious. The red velvet was amazing. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star is because the options are very minimal.

Sept 18 2019Stopped in for ice cream while wandering downtown. They had 3 flavors that day, but were out of the chocolate. "theres maybe enough at the very bottom to scrape one scoop" she said. got the vanilla ice cream instead, my friend tried the salted carmel, and when the total was rung up, it was more than it should have been. The cashier said it looked right, when i asked for a print out, suddenly she found an extra charge and removed it. 2nd time today in this city thats happened. is everyone here crooks?The cupcakes on display are nothing special. they look like the small typical kind i can make at home, so i have no idea why they are almost $4 each.Do not recommend.

The place is beautiful, the presentation was great. You are served on small wooden plates. The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was great, I had an americano and my wife had a vanilla latte. The cupcakes were a bit of a disappointment, they were a bit on the small size, cake was dry. The strawberry shortcake cupcake was a bit bland. The devil's food cake cupcake though was great, we actually ordered a second to replace the strawberry one. I would go back.

Very cute place but not a very wide selection and the place is overpriced. Cupcakes are almost $4 a piece and a box of 8 mini cupcakes is $9! The cupcakes were good but a little dry and not worth the price. The macarons were not traditional french macarons and more like a hard marshmallow or dried out frosting.

This is the cutest place, and the macarons are so yummy, with light, dreamy flavors. They even carry an adorable assortment of dog cookies in different seasonal shapes! I have a rule that I never leave here without one for each of my furbabies. ☺️

I'm always weary of bakery boutiques. But, was very happy to learn of Cream & Flutter. In addition to cupcakes you can get a variety of other treats (ice cream, candies, coffees, etc). I ate their dark chocolate ice cream while a friend sipped on their French press coffee. A very cute establishment that has a very welcoming feel.

Sceptical about ordering when confronted with the cost, which prohibited any decoration for our anniversary. BUT it was a lot of cake. We had 25 guests. Withstood transport to CHICAGO and went well with the prosecco we had purchased. Best buttercream frosting I have ever had.

Needed a cake for my anniversary and it was amazing. The custom order cakes were quick and they were very polite and flexible. Highly recomended if you need a special cake!

We had ordered a cake months in advance for our wedding on July 6th 2019. They were asked repeatedly to make the cake fresh! Upon arriving the cake was about to fall over and leaking out. I inquired where the cake staff was and was told they left. This cake was made DAYS before and frozen with icing on it!!! They charged an enormous amount totalling $900!!! What a RIP off ...how do you charge this amount when Walmart does better cakes at a MUCH cheaper cost!! My wife was in tears...thank you Cream and Flutter for ruining our special day!!! The cake tasted old and the icing was frozen! Would not reccomend to anyone!

Excellent, exquisite cupcakes! A fun place for a father & kids surprise treat when downtown Champaign.

Choosing Cream & Flutter was easily the best decision I made in planning our wedding. Amanda was always composed and professional, responded to calls and emails quickly and efficiently, and was invested, excited, and accommodating about our vision and ideas for the big day. For our wedding we had a dessert table with a few cakes and lots of mini cupcakes and treats. It was BEAUTIFUL - our guests raved about it - and are STILL talking about how everything - from french macaroons - to s'more cupcakes - to bacon brownie bites - was beyond delicious and perfectly executed. I highly recommend Cream & Flutter for any couple looking or individual looking to add a special touch to their event that will leave their guests talking for years to come.

The cafe itself has lovely decorations. Their cup cakes are the best. They also serve good coffee. :)
